The Party is over

This artwork is an expressive, surrealistic oil canvas with elements of figurative grotesque. In the foreground, there are two half-naked human figures in unnatural, distorted poses: one figure is leaning on a stick or a large needle with one hand, while the other figure is lying almost motionless. The creature's head has been replaced by a bright mask, similar to a carnival image or a huge cartoon ball. Around them are fragments of nature, inflatable balls that have already begun to lose their air, confetti, and colored streamers. 

The work combines surrealism with influences of neo-expressionism and symbolic figurative art. There is a certain theatricality and use of metaphorical images that are reminiscent of both the works of Dali or Freud (Lucien) and the contemporary visual discourse of post-internet art.
